Keeping your money data safe

Here's how Darc protects your accounts and information, in plain language.

  • Bank connections through Plaid

You sign in to your bank on Plaid's screen, not ours. Darc never sees or stores your bank username or password.

  • Darc can't move money

Darc can read balances and transactions. Nothing in Darc can move money, pay bills or make transfers, and Darc AI can't either.

  • Encrypted in transit and at rest

Everything between your device and Darc travels over an encrypted connection (HTTPS). Your data is stored with providers that encrypt it at rest.

  • Face ID sign-in

In the phone app you can sign in with Face ID and lock the app when you step away. Your password is never stored on your phone, and your face data never leaves it.

  • Sessions you control

You stay signed in until you go 30 days without using Darc. Profile → Security → Sign out of all devices ends every session at once, and changing your password signs out your other devices.

  • No ads, no data sales

Darc has no advertising or tracking tools, and we never sell your data. We share it only with the providers that run Darc.

What you can do

  • Use a password you don't use anywhere else, or sign in with Apple or Google.
  • Turn on Face ID sign-in and Lock app with Face ID in Profile → Security.
  • If something looks wrong, use Sign out of all devices and change your password.
  • Darc will never ask for your bank password by email, text or phone.

Report a security issue

If you think you've found a security problem in Darc, email admin@darcfinance.com with what you found and how to reproduce it. Please give us a chance to fix it before telling anyone else, and don't access other people's data while testing. We'll reply and keep you updated.
